be sold. Didn't read all the posts to see if someone already said that, but on that one, too bad. On the bolt, they should've told you. But if one broke, it would've been your responsibility to pay for it anyway. However, it would've been very STANDUP-ish if they offered to do it since it was on their watch. On the down-pipes, it is somewhat customary in business to be able to charge for a pre-order item on a custom product. For a normal in stock item, they are not supposed to charge until the product is shipped, but down-pipes might be produced on an on order basis. Again, they should've told you the policy on this and simply told you they could not fulfill your request, but it sounds like you may have made a request that they don't intend to fulfill. Last comment -- I think I'm in a similar boat with you -- I don't know how to complain or get my way with business that screw me over. I've tried being nice. I've tried writing letters. I've tried what I would consider cilvilized complaining. I think it sucks that the loud, threatening, boisterous people get their way with complaints and the people with money that threaten with lawyers get money, but the moderate, understanding customer doesn't even get a return phone call. If you run a company, do yourself a favor and treat reasonable customers with more respect than the a-holes. -Dave
